A welcoming and comfortable accommodation in a quiet area 0.5 miles from the picturesque and historic village of Luddenden.

Luddendenfoot has links with the Bronte family (historic novelists from Haworth – 10 miles).

We are situated 6 miles from Halifax and 4 miles from Hebden Bridge – just off A646.

Easy access to Rochdale Canal, National Rail Network (Mytholmroyd – 2 miles) and M62 motorway.  Nearest bus stop 100 yards.  National cycling (Route 66) runs through Luddendenfoot.


A choice of 2 bedrooms:-

  • 1 on ground floor with ensuite shower and private facilities – double bed

  • 1 on first floor with full ensuite facilities – king size bed

  • Both have hospitality tray, TV, radio alarm clock, mini cooler and hairdryer.

From Hebden Bridge follow A646 (Halifax) through Mytholmroyd village, continue to Luddendenfoot (2 miles) and turn left immediately before pedestrian crossing unto Luddenden Lane.  Continue uphill taking the first left onto Kershaw Estate.  Proceed uphill across mini roundabout and ignore next turning to left.  Keep straight on and the road will bend to the left – Hartwells is on the left, no 64.

From Halifax follow A646 (Burnley) for approximately 5 miles.  After Luddendenfoot sign continue for 1 mile and turn right immediately after pedestrian crossing.  You are on Luddenden Lane (follow remainder of directions as per coming from Hebden Bridge).

Visitors and pets – for security, insurance and fire safety reasons, guests must not invite visitors onto the premises without prior knowledge and permission of owners.  No pets allowed.

All guests have a legal ‘duty of care’ whilst on the premises not to engage in activities which may cause harm or injury to themselves or others and to report anything they believe to be hazardous.

Please note Hartwells is a non-smoking establishment.
